Sweet Fragrance

I made an observation recently. After Sunday Services in these past few months, I usually perceive a particular fragrance on my baby whenever I have him back after being carried by many lovely people in Church. The fragrance was distinct and nice, and this left me curious. I wanted to know whose perfume it is. I finally do know. It is one of the amazing women in Church. One interesting thing is that even when I become so busy in Church, that I could never tell who and who has been with my child, I always know when she has been with him, because of the fragrance. The fragrance registers on everything my child is with, including bibs and toys.

The Holy Spirit inspired my heart that this is the way our lives as believers should be; sweet fragrance, irresistible. One that leaves kingdom mark on everyone and everything that come our way. No one should meet you and not remember their encounter with you for good. They must look back and be able to thank God for your life and your salvation.

It is not enough that we have been saved, we must aspire to grow to the level that our lives become a blessing to others.

Jesus is the perfect example. He poured out himself so much into everyone who crossed his path. His presence remained evident on the Apostles even after he left. People saw the Apostles and recounted that they have been with Jesus.

Acts 4:13

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

When men count their blessings in appreciation to God, do your best to be one of the blessings to remember.

Be the reason some can smile again, the reason some choose to follow after God, the reason their prayer life changed for better, the reason their faith is strengthened in their waiting season, the reason they will never give up on God, and more...

Your life in itself is an offering poured out to God as sweet smelling savor.

2 Corinthians 2:15

For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:

The one who lives in you seeks to gain expression through you. In this will all men know Him who has called you out of darkness.

1 Peter 2:9

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Christ is the fragrance within us that wants to reach out to many. Let Him!
Spread Him in every place! That is when we are truly living our essence.

2 Corinthians 2:14

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
